Eileen McAuliffe PhD Joins AACSB as Executive Vice President, Chief Thought Leadership Officer, and Managing Director, EMEA
Tampa, Fl, USA – September 23, 2024– AACSB International (AACSB), the world’s largest and longest-standing business school association and accreditation body, is pleased to announce the appointment of Professor Eileen McAuliffe, PhD, as Executive Vice President, Chief Thought Leadership Officer, and Managing Director for Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA), effective October 7, 2024.
McAuliffe brings a wealth of academic and industry experience to AACSB. Most recently, she served as Pro Vice-Chancellor (Global) and Executive Dean of the Faculty of Business, Law, and Social Sciences at Birmingham City University. In this role, she guided the university’s 2030 and Beyond Strategy, ensuring alignment of global initiatives with the institution’s long-term vision. As Executive Dean, she led 12,000 students and 400 Faculty overseeing a budget of approximately £100 million. Beyond academia, McAuliffe has extensive international experience in the oil industry, having held executive positions with ConocoPhillips in tax advisory. She earned her PhD in 2017 and was named Professor of International Taxation in 2020. McAuliffe is an active member of the United Nations Platform for the Collaboration on Tax. She is a former member of the AACSB Board of Directors.

She will advocate for the quality, relevance, and societal impact of business schools around the world, while also managing strategy and operations for the EMEA region to ensure effective engagement and support for AACSB members.
