AACSB Global Community: Navigating Change Together
Our industry is navigating complex challenges and shifts in the legal and political landscape. AACSB represents over 1,900 institutional members across more than 100 countries, a diverse and dynamic global community.
Our mission is to elevate the quality and impact of business schools globally. Our core values— Members First, Inclusivity, Global Unity, Excellence, and Curiosity— guide every decision, including the latest annual updates to the narratives of the standards and interpretive guidance.
Guided by the principle of community and connectedness, AACSB is committed to fostering a vibrant learning environment where all learners—regardless of background, experience, or perspective—can thrive.
That holds equally true for faculty and staff. We recognize the concerns some of you have shared on important issues. Last week’s Townhall events, attended by schools from around the world, provided a valuable forum for open and transparent dialogue. We appreciate the overwhelmingly positive feedback and hope these discussions reaffirm our commitment to listening, engaging, and upholding the integrity of our global community.
We recognize that not all schools are affected by changing laws or funding reductions. Regardless of your circumstances, we are here to support your mission. Academic freedom remains essential. AACSB remains apolitical and ensures our standards-setting is flexible, principle-based and allows each school to drive quality and impact through its mission.
The media often looks for or creates attention-grabbing headlines, and at times, issues may be presented in ways that amplify division or controversy. Regardless, we remain steadfast in our values and commitment to our mission. Our priority is to support our members, all of our members, and protect our organization.
To all members of the AACSB community: Critical thinking is our strength. This public FAQ (www.aacsb.edu/educators/accreditation/business-accreditation) document addresses all possible questions. I encourage you to be discerning readers and turn to AACSB as your trusted source of truth.
In this period of uncertainty, our strength lies in unity. Now, more than ever, we must stand together - as a global community to support one another.
Thank You!
