HESI pushes for sustainability criteria in accreditation
Activists within the UN-supported Higher Education Sustainability Initiative (HESI) have been discussing plans to integrate sustainability concerns into higher education courses’ accreditation so that environmental health concerns become an integral part of learning.

Indeed, speakers discussed including ‘sustainability’ into the criteria for whole higher education institutions, with business schools and engineering programs given as examples.
“True transformation will occur through the collective impact of working across disciplines and engaging with the business community, governments, and other stakeholders. We believe that business education and the collective efforts of our accredited schools can change the world for the better,” Stephanie Bryant told University World News.
