How can buiness schools act for climate leadership? The MENA region is set to be one of the most affected regions by climate change worldwide. Water scarcity, the rate of population growth, the threat to food security, and sea level rise are just a few of many environmental risks that will hinder the region’s growth conspicuously in the not-so-far future. The cop 27 and 28 being held respectively in Egypt and the UAE are a clear call for immediate action. Which begs the question: “how can business schools act for climate leadership?” This interactive session aims at opening an urgent discussion on the importance of including climate change awareness as a defining component of responsible leadership. In other words, what can we do as business schools from the MENA region in terms of collaboration initiatives regarding Climate Leadership?
Collaboration, partnerships and deeper engagement between African Business Schools The idea of this ARN meeting is to get all our African Business Schools together to, within the spirit of Ubuntu, discuss how we could expand and deepen partnerships and intensify collaboration in the interest of stimulating the knowledge base in Africa. This workshop will explore DEIB through a multidimensional perspective and introduce the transformation barometer of Keet and Swartz (2015) so to focus on institutional culture; fair readdress; targeted scholarship; leadership, relationships and engagement with others (external stakeholders and communities), and teaching and learning. Join us for an interactive workshop that will walk you through a framework to track your DEIB activities and understand indicators to monitor progress.
