COVID19 exacerbated existing barriers to female career advancement, amplifying economic and social burdens for women as household responsibilities, child and eldercare, challenges of limited physical space and more disproportionately affected female professionals. This session will explore how schools are strategically supporting female faculty career advancement and ensuring gender diversity success.

This session will discuss defining DEIB challenges specific to the Africa region, including contextualizing curriculum and learning. Speakers will share their experiences moving away from a western lens and illustrating the value of Eastern education.

General Session: Socioeconomic Access and Diversity
10:15 a.m. - 11:15 a.m. 
This session will share how organizations, especially those with diverse stakeholders, can provide equitable access and social mobility. Presenters will discuss strategies to reduce economic and social barriers that exist in the region and share ideas for engaging your underrepresented populations.

General Session: Cross Generational Workforces
11:30 a.m. – 12:15 p.m. 
Today’s workforce encompasses four generations, causing collaboration and productivity challenges. This session will explore how organizations can overcome cultural and communication issues to build a culture of efficiency and understanding.
