Keynote I: Better Tools, Deeper Roots: Humanizing Leadership

Gianpiero_PetriglieriGianpiero Petriglieri, Expert on Leadership and Learning in the Workplace

Gianpiero Petriglieri is Associate Professor of Organisational Behaviour at INSEAD, and an expert on leadership and learning in the workplace. His award-winning research and teaching focus on what it means, and what it takes, to become a leader. He is particularly interested in the development of leadership in the age of “nomadic professionalism,” in which people have deep personal bonds to work but loose affiliations to organizations, and authenticity and mobility have replaced loyalty and advancement as hallmarks of virtue and success.

Gianpiero’ research has appeared in leading academic journals such as Administrative Science Quarterly, Academy of Learning & Education, and Organization Studies. He also writes regularly for the Harvard Business Review, where five of his essays have been included among the “ideas that shaped management” in the last decade. His work has been featured in a range of media including the BBC, Financial Times, The Economist, Businessweek, The Washington Post, The Boston Globe, and El Pais. He has chaired the World Economic Forum’s Global Agenda Council on new models of leadership, and was recently named one of the 50 most influential management thinkers in the world by Thinkers50.

Keynote II: Leading a Business School in the Era of AI

Sherif KamelSherif Kamel, Vice Chair-Chair Elect of AACSB Board of Directors, Dean, School of Business, The American University in Cairo

Kamel is a professor of management and dean of the School of Business at The American University in Cairo. Before joining the university in 2001, he was the director of the Regional Information Technology Institute and managed the training department of the Cabinet of Egypt Information and Decision Support Center.

He is a trustee and an international board member of the Association of MBAs and the Business Graduate Association. He co-chairs the board of stewards of the African Women Entrepreneurship Cooperative and is a founding member of the Internet Society of Egypt. He served as the 18th president of the American Chamber of Commerce in Egypt. His research and teaching interests include digital transformation, IT transfer to emerging economies, decision support systems, and entrepreneurship. He is the author of theNileView article series.

He was awarded The American University in Cairo Distinguished Alumni Faculty Service Award (2014), the President’s Catalyst of Change Award for Citizenship and Service (2013), and the School of Business Excellence in Research Award (2005). He is an Eisenhower Fellow and holds a PhD in information systems from the London School of Economics.

Ana Freire, Vice-Dean of Social Impact and Academic Innovation at UPF Barcelona School of Management

Ana Freire, PhD in Computer Science, is the Vice-Dean for Social Impact and Academic Innovation at the UPF Barcelona School of Management. Her profound expertise in Artificial Intelligence, Information Retrieval, and Social Media Analysis is informed by her work with premier institutions including Yahoo Labs, the University of Glasgow, and the National Research Center of Italy. Focused on leveraging cutting-edge technologies for societal benefits, Ana leads STOP, a multidisciplinary project aimed at addressing mental health issues through AI and social media analysis.

With a distinguished contribution of over 50 scientific publications and several patents, Ana has been nationally and internationally honored, recognized by Business Insider as one of the top 23 Spaniards at the forefront of the tech revolution. Her achievements have been celebrated with awards from the Spanish Royal Academy of Sciences, Google, and the University of Deusto, among others. Her passion for science and technology extends to her public speaking engagements, including an inspiring TEDx Talk exploring the interplay between technology and mental health.

David De Cremer serves as the Dunton Family Dean of Northeastern University's D'Amore-McKim School of Business. With more than 300 full-time faculty and staff members supporting more than 6,000 undergraduate and graduate students, D'Amore-McKim is known worldwide for cutting-edge thought leadership, teaching excellence, entrepreneurial ingenuity, and global experiential learning opportunities that are second to none.

Most recently, De Cremer was a provost chair at the National University of Singapore (NUS) Business School, where he was a professor of management and organizations and the founder and director of the Centre on AI Technology for Humankind (AiTH). He has also served as the KPMG endowed professor in management studies at the University of Cambridge's Judge Business School and fellow at St. Edmunds College, where he remains an honorary fellow at both institutes. Other past academic roles include research and teaching positions at Stanford University as a visiting fellow at the Hoover Institution, London Business School as a visiting professor teaching in the EMBA programs, Harvard University as a visiting research fellow at the Kennedy School of Government, and a research member of The Justice Collaboratory at Yale Law School. He is also the founder of the Erasmus Center of Behavioral Business Ethics at Rotterdam School of Management.

Javier_MartinezJavier Martinez, Google Cloud Spain and Portugal

Javier Martinez is the head of Customer Engineering at Google Cloud Spain. He has a Master's degree in Telecommunication Engineering and more than 20 years of experience in the IT industry. Javier has worked on different topics over the years, including compute infrastructure, data management, cloud computing and artificial intelligence, always focused on how technology impacts the enterprise ecosystem. Over the last few years Javier has participated in several projects applying virtual agents to enterprise use cases, and with the GenAI revolution he is evangelizing on how to apply this revolutionary technology on businesses.
