Ulsan National Institute of Science and Technology (UNIST)

The vision of UNIST School of Business Administration (SBA) is to become a world-class business school with an emphasis on technology-based management. UNIST (Ulsan National Institute of Science and Technology) is a major technology-focused university, located in Ulsan Metropolitan City, the industrial capital of South Korea and the hub port of the North East Asia. This geopolitical advantage fosters excellent opportunities for UNIST to function as a thriving academy-industry platform that creates synergistic research collaborations as well as active technology entrepreneurship ecosystem. Being a part of a science and technology university, all SBA undergraduate students are required to graduate with two interdisciplinary tracks (e.g., Management and Human Factors Engineering, Finance/Accounting and Entrepreneurship). Besides, our industry-driven and highly specialized graduate programs (Energy Commodity Trading & Financial Engineering, Business Analytics, Entrepreneurship & Innovation, Management of Technology) provide our graduates with a broad spectrum of opportunities in their career path. UNIST is the only university in Korea where 100% of lectures are conducted in English to promote the globalization of its research and education. The school makes most of this advantage in attracting quality students on both national and international levels. In order to attract top-class faculty, the school provides the research environment and facilities that are commensurate with top class research schools in Korea and Asia. Our faculty members produce quality scholarship and actively participate in the life of the SBA at rates that surpass standards. According to the UT Dallas Top 100 Business School Research Rankings™ (2012-2017), UNIST SBA ranks #2 in Korea in per capita research output among the AACSB-accredited business schools.
