S. P. Jain Institute of Management and Research (SPJIMR) is a constituent of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan (BVB), India's acclaimed and oldest educational trust established in 1938. AICTE has granted Graded Autonomy Category-I status to SPJIMR for 2022 to 2028. SPJIMR is accredited by The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB International) and the Association of MBAs (AMBA), UK.

SPJIMR stands out as the top-ranking Indian B-school, securing the 40th spot globally for the PGDM programme. Notably, eleven Indian B-schools have featured in the FT MiM top-100 ranking. SPJIMR is one of the seven Indian business schools that made it to the QS Global MBA rankings for the year 2023. This is the seventh consecutive year that SPJIMR is on this elite list. SPJIMR's longstanding commitment to creating a lasting social impact sets it apart from other B-schools, and the institute has gained several global recognitions. The Positive Impact Ratings (PIR) has recognized SPJIMR as a "pioneering school" for social impact and sustainability achievements for three consecutive years – 2021, 2022, and 2023. United Nations Global Compact Network India awarded SPJIMR the prestigious Innovative Practices Award in 2018 for its societal initiatives. AACSB recognized the institute as one of the top 30 innovative B-schools through its "Innovations that Inspire" initiative in 2016 and 2017. SPJIMR is also the founding chair of UNPRME's India chapter. SPJIMR has won AACSB's Innovations that Inspire award twice. In each case, it was the only Indian institute to win the award. SPJIMR's PGMPW (Post Graduate Management Program for Women) won the AMBA Innovations Award 2019. SPJIMR alum Lulu Raghavan & Shalini Kapoor were honored as Influential Leaders by AACSB International in 2020 and 2022, respectively. The Influential Leaders initiative recognizes outstanding alums and faculty researchers from AACSB-accredited business schools who have impacted society. Another alum, Mansi Madan, was honored with the MBA Leadership Award 2022 by the AMBA & BGA Excellence Awards.

The Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM), Post Graduate Diploma in Management (Business Management), Post Graduate Diploma in Management – Online (PGDM Online), Post Graduate Programme in Management (PGPM),  Post Graduate Programme in General Management (PGP-GM), and Fellow Programme in Management (FPM) programs are approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), India.

The Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM), Post Graduate Programme in Management (PGPM), Post Graduate Executive Management Programme (PGEMP), Post Graduate Programme in Family Managed Business (PGP-FMB), and Post Graduate Programme in Development Management (PGPDM) are accredited by the Association of MBAs (AMBA), UK.

The Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) program is accredited by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA), India.
