Mariëlle Heijltjes, professor of managerial behavior and dean, Maastricht University School of Business and Economics Mariëlle Heijltjes is a professor of managerial behavior and dean of Maastricht University School of Business and Economics (SBE) in the Netherlands. Prior to accepting the role of dean, she combined the managerial responsibilities of leading SBE’s professional development division, UMIO, with designing and delivering executive education in the field of leadership. She has extensive international experience in working with executives and top management teams on questions relating to their effectiveness. Clients that she worked with include globally operating multinationals as well as smaller regionally and nationally operating organizations. She is frequently invited as a speaker, panelist, or moderator at different events and programs worldwide.

In addition to her roles at SBE, she currently also serves on four international advisory boards for other business schools as well as engages in volunteer activities for national and international accrediting bodies to continuously improve the quality of business school education. In the past she served as chair of the board of governors of Beta Gamma Sigma and on supervisory boards for profit as well as nonprofit organizations.
