Eileen McAuliffe
Executive Vice President, Chief Thought Leadership Officer, and Managing Director, EMEA
As a member of the AACSB executive team, Eileen McAuliffe leads thought leadership initiatives, positioning AACSB as the global voice of business education. She advocates for the quality, relevance, and societal impact of business schools around the world, while also managing strategy and operations for the EMEA region to ensure effective engagement and support for AACSB members.
She previously served as Pro Vice-Chancellor (Global) and Executive Dean of the Faculty of Business, Law, and Social Sciences at Birmingham City University. In this role, she guided the university’s 2030 and Beyond Strategy, ensuring alignment of global initiatives with the institution’s long-term vision. As Executive Dean, she led 12,000 students and 400 Faculty overseeing a budget of approximately £100 million.
Beyond academia, McAuliffe has extensive international experience in the oil industry, having held executive positions with ConocoPhillips in tax advisory. She earned her PhD in 2017 and was named Professor of International Taxation in 2020. McAuliffe is an active member of the United Nations Platform for the Collaboration on Tax. She is a former member of the AACSB Board of Directors.
