Innovation Description

Connecting the needs of academia and industry, the Mixed Reality Design Sprint applies the design sprint methodology to an Airbus challenge focused on intrapreneurial projects. The project integrates research, teaching, and business challenges to promote innovation through a multidisciplinary approach.

Students use AI tools like ChatGPT as creative assistants and experiment with mixed reality technologies to tackle societal challenges. The project’s originality lies in its multidisciplinary loop assisted by the latest technologies. When mobilized, this loop enhances students’ ability to transform innovative ideas into actionable solutions for complex environments.

The project prepares future managers to adapt to new contexts through an intrapreneurial mindset, enhanced by emerging technologies. Innovation Impact

The multidisciplinary loop has had a profound impact by integrating research, teaching, and real-world business challenges, particularly in intrapreneurship and innovation management. This project has successfully fostered an intrapreneurial mindset among students. Since its inception, over 700 students have participated in this teaching method, and enrollment has grown each year across multiple MSc programs on both the Toulouse and Paris campuses. Evaluation results show a marked improvement in academic achievement, with average student scores rising from 3.6 out of 5 in 2021 to 4.5 in 2024. Feedback from students, academics, and industry experts confirms the value of using AI and the Design Sprint method for real-world problem-solving.

Plans for the project’s future impact include alumni engagement in 2026 and further expansion to ensure a lasting effect on students’ professional development, industry innovation, and global collaboration.
