Dr. Ken Bain is
an education expert and author of the award-winning book, “What the Best College
Teachers Do,” which explores the results from his 15-year study of over 100
colleges across the country and is one of the nation’s top selling books on
higher education—adopted by many colleges and universities for their faculty
development programs. He has won several teaching awards and has been the founding
director of four teaching and learning centers across the country. Join Dr. Bain
as he explores the practices and insights of the nation’s most successful
teachers.

In this session,
AACSB’s Chief Knowledge Officer will bring together data and information from a
variety of sources with his own insights and experience to offer a macro view of
business schools. The emphasis will be on business school faculties, leveraging
new data from AACSB's forthcoming report on trends in faculty qualifications,
demographics, and compensation. The session also will offer insights into recent
developments related to students, programs, and finances of business schools, as
well as the most pressing issues facing business schools worldwide. As Vice
President and Chief Knowledge Officer, Dan LeClair guides AACSB International’s
thought leadership initiatives and leads its Knowledge Services area. He is a
recognized expert and frequent presenter on business education topics.

Simendinger
Professor of Management

The University of Tampa
Dr. Simendinger is a tenured Professor of
Management in the College of Business at The University of Tampa, formerly a
tenured Professor at Central Michigan University. He was a hospital
administrator for twenty years and holds a Doctorate Degree in Organizational
Behavior from Case Western Reserve University and two Masters Degrees - one in
Health Care Administration from Washington University, St. Louis, MO, and the
second in Industrial Engineering.
Dr. Simendinger was a Fellow of the American
College of Health Care Executives. He has co-authored or co-edited nine books
and published over sixty articles in health care and management journals. He is
president of Organization Designers, a management and organizational development
consulting firm focusing on organizational redesign, executive leadership
training, corporate board development programs and strategic and tactical
planning.
